[ HOME ]maximum memory supported by my mortherboard?- jashu 2008-04-07Hello, I am using Intel celeron computer system which is working great. The speed as specified by the computer manual is 2.6 gigahertz and it is having a L2 cache memory of 256kb. Because i don't do any heavy kind of a work on this pc, my friend suggested me to go for this system. Actually it is not a branded system. It is assembled by one of my friend who works for a pc hardware firm. As far as secondary memory is concerned, it is having a storage capacity of around 80 giga bytes. Currently I just use some home videos and a few of my favorite mp3 songs in a separate partition with a capacity of 20gb. Recently, I have upgraded to a DVD rewriter which works perfectly again. But, When i use it to view a DVD movie, it seems to be a bit sluggish. My friend suggested that, I upgrade my computers RAM to 512 mega bytes from current, 128 mega bytes. Do you people think, increasing the RAM would solve my pc problem? If No, what will be my best option to resolve the problem?
